My Story
UX Designer + Brand Manager + Business Consultant
Hi, I'm Rob, a high-energy product designer looking to make a big impact on the health of people and planet.
Drawing on over 25 years of experience in marketing, branding, sales, engineering, and business consulting, I now focus my energy on designing simple, visually compelling, user-friendly products that increase business value.
My superpower? Seamlessly merging my deep empathy with strategic thinking, leading to innovative solutions that make people's lives easier and more enjoyable. Having started companies, managed teams, and run marketing departments, I bring a nice dose of business savvy to my work as well.
Some of the industries I've worked in include: food and beverage, fitness, health, nutrition, real estate tech, 3D media (AR/VR), cleaning products, pet care, eLearning, and biodegradable plastics. (Linkedin)
I've also been fortunate to contribute to a diverse set of brands, some that I helped get off the ground at the very beginning, some billion dollar brands that needed a little tweaking, and everything in between.
You can count on me for the following:
Taking a holistic approach to solving complex problems
Approaching challenges with deep curiosity about users and the total context of the product
A growth mindset and desire to learn new things everyday
Strong visualization and ideation skills to bring concepts to life
Strategic marketing and branding expertise
Leveraging my business experience and MBA to solve problems that increase business value
While that's a pretty serious list, I'm a pretty lighthearted guy who enjoys music, dancing, training for triathlons, and staying active in my various communities.
My Design Journey
Many years ago I took a transformative aptitude test created by the Johnson O'Connor Research Foundation that determined I had significant strengths in 3D visualization, ideation, divergent thinking, and artistic judgment. Ever since, I've been looking for ways to use these skills more fully in my life and especially my career, which led me to pivot into product and user experience design.
